If Sandy is the manager on duty, we will definitely not be returning. It will be a LONG time, if ever, that we return to this Red Lobster. No customer should be treated like my 83 year old mother and I were treated. She appears bitter with her position at this location. Sandy is NOT a good ambassador for Red Lobster. The manager should take notice of the people who work for her to make her look good. The wait staff and the hostesses at this Red Lobster are usually very pleasant and accommodating. Surprisingly, Sandy was NO WHERE to be found when we left. A customer request that can obviously be fulfilled after an hour and a half notice should have been granted. We took our menus and silverware, went back to the hostess station and told them the exact reason why we were leaving. No one came to take out order after over 5 minutes. I know how waiter/waitress stations work BUT when A customer requests a certain table and it is right next to the table you seated them at you, as the manager, which Sandy is, can adjust assignments for this. As we sat there, we noticed two open booths in the area we were in, one was right behind our table. Sandy proceeded to take us to our table, put our menus and silverware down and left. I pointed these out and she said, we get what she said. As Sandy walked us to our table, we passed three booth tables scattered throughout the restaurant. Of course, we took the option that she insisted was all that was available. Sandy, the manager, said, 'We have a half booth/half table available.' I told her we would be glad to wait for a booth, she said that was what they had if we wanted it. I went to the hostess stand and gave my name with the information that we had a 6:30 call ahead. When we arrived at 6:28, there was no one waiting for a table in the waiting area. She said she would write it down and hung up. I told her I wanted a 6:30 reservation on the wait list for 2 for a booth. Militaristicaly she talked to me like I was her subordinate. I informed her the website said immediate seating available. This person was extremely rude and said that parties of two at that moment had to wait. When I called at 5:00, I told the person who answered the phone what I needed and why I was calling. The website also gave the restaurant number to call, which I did. There was no option to sign up for a reservation at 6:30. It was about 5:00 and we wanted to eat at 6:30. When I went on line, the website said 'immediate seating available. It only helps to get seated a little quicker. website to get on the 'Wait List.' I understand how this works. Being a Sunday evening of a holiday weekend, I knew they should be busy. Last evening, (Sunday, February 16, 2020) my mother and I decided we wanted to have dinner there. I have been a frequent patron of this Red Lobster. I commend the server as he apologized and he was wonderful he made our evening. We didn't even stay for dessert that is how we felt. They need to check on the quality of beef they have as this was not what was expected. I had to cut it into small pieces to chew easier and even dip it in steak sauce to get it down. I could have sworn it was a sirloin or a different cut of meat. The filet steak as they call it looked like a hunk of meat grilled. The lobster tails were rather skinny and small was disappointed. The food was hot and tasty and we were hungry. Dinner came out quick and it looked delicious surf and turf. The drinks were welcomed as it was a hot day and cold tea was great. The server Brian was attentive and very pleasant, professional, and quick. We were seated in a booth and it was terribly dark, could hardly see the menu. At 5p the place was a ghost town except for 3 other tables. I went to this Red Lobster to celebrate a special day.
